Curricular Activities (CA)

We believe in healthy and frank interaction between students and teachers. We also emphasize on practical work, that includes individual activities, as well as project work in small groups within the classroom and active learning experiences that go beyound the boundaries of the classroom.

We will have excellent individual classrooms and laboratory facilities for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. here teachers have access to maps, charts, illustrations, software, books and models. Apart from making the teacher's task easier such a facility is successful, in arousing and sustaining students interest in the subject.

Two periods per week is devoted to the learning of any third language as prescribed by the board. Our students are free to take up addtional language or continue with the study of particular language as a co-curricular or a spare time activity.

Besides, there is at least one period daily for Computer Literacy from Std. II to VIII, IX, X, XI & XII. This is optional in Std. IX to XII. These classes familiarize our students with computer and their various usages. They also master some common application software. They use multimedia to create animation and undertake quiz-based drills relating to a number of academic subjects.

Art and Craft, Music and Physical Education are academic subjects from Std. III to VIII. Four compulsory periods per week are alloted for these subjects.

The instructional periods are of 40 minutes duration. These are eight academic periods per day from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays there are five academic periods.

On Saturday afternoons all students of the secondary section have to devote an hour and a half to a long-term project of their choice. This involves independent study, research and its application. This is presented as project report at the end of academic session.
